Bits and pieces

by Bonnie Pockley

Getting back into a normal routine after returning from N.S.W. has been hard. After a heroic effort looking after the twins on his own, Hame was exhausted and in need of rest without the time or space to do so. Fatigued, emotionally drained and overwhelmed, we fought our way kicking and screaming through a week that would best be forgotten. Despite the horror, there were a few moments of delight as well as the ever present beauty within the dynamic of our duo – we are a one but we are also a two, we are a two but we are also a one.

Also this week: a new stroller, the first dress fitting, Mystic Medusa dependency, the best girlfriends I could ask for, strong coffee, a competition entry, a deposit on an incredible 1900’s antique writing desk,  a black eye (from Inca) and a public breakdown – Sometimes all of this is HARD. Sometimes we feel utterly threadbare.
