Over the last few day we’ve had great fun harvesting all the ripe produce from our garden. This also means we’ve made two savoury tarts in an attempt to find new ways of consuming our goods. The fig, peach and apple trees are suddenly full of fruit ready for the picking, and as expected, we’ve got more tomatoes than we know what to do with. Check it out:
1. Layered tart of pesto, avocado, fresh roquette and tomato (with flax crust) 2. Box of jam strawberries 3. Picnic and paperbacks 4. Layered tart of pesto, roast chicken, home made hummus, tomato, Jarlsberg and coriander (with flax crust) 5. Lavender and lemon bowl 6. Figs, apples, pears 7. Little prince
Little tip of the day: the tart base is the same mixture that I use for flax crackers – just pressed into a tin.
Weekly reminder: I am not a hairdresser. I shouldn’t try to cut my own hair…or anybody else’s. For some reason, I keep forgetting.
