Little mandarin

by Bonnie Pockley

As some of you have noticed, I’ve been a bit quiet here for a few weeks. We’ve certainly been busy (to say the least) but I also feel like I’ve needed a little lone time, away from public display. Those who know me best know that to retreat every now and then is just part of who I am – it gives me time to think, time to plan and often, time to simply get stuff done. The big project I’ve been working on for a dear friend’s wedding is now complete (due to the privacy of the bride and groom I won’t been posting pictures), the weather has turned cold and some exciting new things are now confirmed and underway. On the home front, we’ve been stocking the fridge full of fresh food, putting blankets on the beds and turning our attention to a much neglected garden. Today we finally potted our little mandarin tree, harvested some of the peaches and for the first time this year, swept away the new fall of autumn leaves.

Also this week: waiting for a special little parcel from Stella McCartney, an antique French estate ring, an important dress collection, a friend returns from overseas, another has a birthday and all focus turns towards Oct/ Nov 2013. Lots to come.
