Yesterday Inca popped a ligament out of its socket in her left arm while she was playing. We tried kissing it better and wrapping it up but quickly realised something more than just a little grazing was going on. She whimpered, holding one hand to her wrist, crying only when we tried moving it to determine the damage. After a trip to the hospital and an hour of waiting, the doctor rotated it back into place. Despite the agonising pain of it, she showed staggering bravery – a littleĀ bird with a broken wing but a lion-heart.
