There’s a thread that binds these two. It’s elusive, like the faeries you saw in your peripheral vision as a child. You know somehow, that one day you’ll no longer catch glimpses of it; that you’ll no longer be able to see the faintest glimmer of the gold that ties. But it’s there. It pulls sometimes. It strains. It catches on the doorframe and yet, there, see it? It remains.
