Bits and pieces

by Bonnie Pockley

As a family, we take our downtime at night, in bed, beneath the open window looking at the stars. It’s become a ritual for us to the extent that Pax searches the sky for the moon during the day and is ecstatic when he finds it. Never mind looking at the sun. When there’s no moon he declares that the night is scary – something he states without being prompted and something we probably wouldn’t notice without it being pointed out. I’m not yet sure why the dark makes him afraid but it has always been so. Inca on the other hand seems unfazed.

Our night time ritual is a magical thing. Beneath the great black pool of tiny, luminous jewels, we fall in together as a collective one – a little tribe looking out at an impossibly infinite sky.

Also this week: Mystic Medusa’s ORACLE says…

1. ‘YOU ARE MORE OF A GENIUS WITH PHOTOGRAPHY THAN YOU THINK – WORK THIS DURING THE VENUS IN CAPRICORN PHASE’

2. ‘JANUARY IS NAMED AFTER JANUS – THE ANCIENT ROMAN GOD OF DOORWAYS – AND THIS MONTH TRULY IS THE DOOR WAY INTO A NEW LIFE FOR YOU – ANOTHER DOOR SHUTS, HOWEVER’

3. ‘JUDGEMENT – ONE GREAT BIG LONG ERA IN YOUR LIFE IS NOW ENDING AND A NEW AWESOME ERA IS ABOUT TO BEGIN.’

And…

I say,

Remember to make your New Year wishes. Act as if they’ve already come true.
