Wheel of fortune
by Bonnie Pockley
The last few months with us have brought a lot of change, activity and general busy-ness. Sometimes it feels as though I can hear big mechanical cogs churning in the background, clinking over and setting up for another cycle. Aside from all the little things, there’s been a wedding in the family, the thrilling possibility of real estate (stability!) and an imminent, double 3rd birthday. On a personal note, it’s the age creeping into my face, the fresh lines and darker circles that mark the passing of more time. All those nights and days that slipped by quietly in the proverbial space of the blink of an eye, have actually dug little grooves around my eyes and where I smile – like a tally. Don’t forget, they seem to say.
And so it is.
Also this week: Obsessed with Orange Is The New Black, Bron/Broen and sweet potato. Pax insists on being called by his middle name, Charlie (Pax is Pax Charlie James), and I found him snuggled up with Inca in her bed in the middle of the night. Too cute.
(Note: Wedding photos and some other photos in this post come from a variety of sources, mostly friends and family. Thanks goes to Jo Lyon, Ben Power, Tim Pockley, Emily Pockley et al. Apologies to those whose authorship I am unaware of.)
